Recent visit to the Huadhua community

The new school year has just begun and Alma has been out in the field attending many parents’ assemblies to get our projects ready for 2015! Some of the communities are the same as last year, but there are many new projects in new communities almost ready to begin as well.

One of the new communities is Huadhua – a small community sitting at over 4,400 meters above sea level. Due to Huadhua’s hard to reach location, they have never before worked with a non-profit and the parents’ association members are young and energetic (in many communities where it is possible, the younger generations leave the community and move to the nearest city looking for better employment opportunities). We had a great meeting with the parents and we are looking forward to implementing a project with them.
