INNOVATION THAT TRANSFORMS. TEACHER COMMITMENT DRIVING A NEW EDUCATION IN CUSCO.


The development of the 2025 Specialization Course in Pedagogical Innovation represents a significant milestone for educational improvement within the Cusco Regional Education Management Unit (GRE Cusco). Its implementation has demonstrated that teacher training, when well-guided and supported, can directly transform the learning experience of thousands of students. The Alma Enseñanza Innovadora (Soulful Innovative Teaching) educational proposal not only provided methodological tools but also fostered deep reflection on the teacher’s role as an agent of change and a builder of complex thinking in the classroom.

The results achieved demonstrate commitment, effort, and genuine motivation on the part of the teachers. The 76% participant approval rate confirms that close support, constant feedback, and collaboration with the Local Education Management Units (UGELs) allow for progress toward more coherent and contextualized pedagogical practices. Furthermore, visits to educational institutions demonstrated that innovation is not an abstract concept, but a viable and necessary practice for addressing students’ real needs.

This project reaffirms that educational transformation requires commitment, shared leadership, and a clear vision. Alma continues to move forward with the conviction that it is possible to build a more humane, relevant, and inspiring education for our children.
