Heidy is seven years old and is in the second grade of school in Tilata. She is a very affectionate girl. In her family, she has her mother, stepfather and two sisters. She can get in fights with her sisters. Her older sister is a teenager and her younger sister is only three years old.
When she entered Sariry, she enjoyed mathematics but had great difficulty in literacy. She is working hard to overcome this difficulty. She enjoys her time at Sariry because she is able to get consistent support from the educators.
Heidy’s parents do not have a stable income. They cannot cover basic needs such as food and education. Sariry has become the space that guarantees Heidy adequate food, timely educational support and a space of social interaction and emotional stability.
