A few days ago, we visited the Huito Educational Institution, located in the district of Pitumarca, Canchis Local Education Management Unit (UGEL). There, three teachers work in a coordinated and collaborative manner, providing an inspiring example of how teamwork strengthens education. From the moment you arrive, you notice a different atmosphere: one of the teachers greets the students with cheerful music, which evokes positive emotions and creates a climate conducive to learning. This simple gesture reflects their commitment to transforming each school day into a meaningful experience.
Strategies in Action
The most remarkable aspect at Huito is the teachers’ collaborative organization. Each teacher assumes clear roles, avoiding improvisation and creating an order that enhances learning. The teaching team applies strategies acquired through training programs, especially the pedagogical innovation course facilitated by ALMA ENSEÑANZA INNOVADORA (Alma Innovative Teaching). In the classrooms, students work with diagrams, actively participate, and engage in confident dialogue. Innovation isn’t just theoretical; it’s a lived experience in every corner of the classroom.
The experience in Huito demonstrates that educational quality depends not only on having more material resources, but also on the commitment, creativity, and innovation of the teachers. Their example inspires other educational institutions to strengthen their pedagogical practices and commit to collaborative learning, supported by the Alma Innovative Teaching Association.
The success of Huito reminds us that teamwork, pedagogical innovation, and family involvement are pillars that illuminate the path toward transformative education, even in the most remote areas.
